House rules
These rules apply on and around the rink, so that everyone can skate safely, young and old.

At your own risk
Use of the rink and of hire skates is entirely at your own risk.

Gloves are mandatory
Gloves are mandatory on the ice. A helmet is recommended and is mandatory during school skating.

Children under 8
Children under 8 may only go on the ice when accompanied by an adult.

On the ice with skates only
You may only enter the rink with skates on. Shoes or skate guards are not allowed on the ice.

Safe skating for everyone
Skating fast or doing tricks is forbidden as soon as it endangers others. Our staff decide when that is the case.

Keep off the boards
Sitting or standing on the boards, or climbing over them, is not allowed.

Not allowed on the rink
No eating, drinking or smoking on the ice. Glassware, cans, alcohol, fireworks and sharp objects also stay off the rink.

No snowballs
Throwing snowballs or ice is forbidden.

Follow instructions
All visitors follow the instructions of our staff and volunteers.

Valid ticket
Entry with a valid ticket only. When it is busy, entry may be refused temporarily.

Closed outside opening hours
Entering the rink outside opening hours is not allowed, in accordance with article 461 of the Dutch Criminal Code.

CCTV
For your safety and ours, the site is monitored by CCTV with recording.

Photos and videos
We take photos and videos for our website and social media. Prefer not to be in them? Let a member of staff know.

Liability
Stichting Bruisend Stadshart Lelystad is not liable for injury, or for loss of or damage to property.

Damage will be recovered
Damage to property of Lelystad On Ice, such as boards, skates, the roof and decorations, will be recovered from the person who caused it.

Bikes in the racks
Please park your bike in the racks provided.

Entry may be refused
Anyone who does not follow these rules may be refused further entry, without a refund.

Exceptions
The organisers may depart from these rules if the situation requires it.

We close in thunderstorms
In thunderstorms or high winds the rink closes. You'll see it straight away in the bar at the top of this site. We'll move your ticket to another moment free of charge.
